iPad: what’s your view?

What is your view on the iPad. I personally am a little skeptical. Are the selling it as a computer, or just a giant iphone. Can you do absolutely everything on the ipad that you can on a computer (I don’t think so) so what is the point of spending the money on it, if you are still going to need a computer for work/school/word documents etc…I wouldn’t want to buy both. Wouldn’t apple’s best bet be to create a computer tablet that runs on a regular operating system like a current macbook, but make it a touchscreen as well, kind of like the current PC tablet, so that you can have all these features, but also have the features of a computar, and therefore not have to have both?

My Thoughts on the Apple Tablet

I give you my opinion of the rumored Apple Tablet

New iPad (Apple Tablet)?! What do you Think?

What do you guys think of the new iPad? Here are my opinions, i would also like to hear yours!!!

OPINIONS::

CON

1. No Mac OSX,,, I really wanted this to have snow leopard, but its just “like” a big Ipod Touch…

2. The design, i don’t like the design they have used, In my opinion, they killed it with the button at the bottom.
I was hopping for something like this :
A. http://dvice.com/assets_c/2010/01/islate0002-thumb-550×277-30940.jpg
B. http://iphoneindia.gyanin.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/itablet-islate-iphone-apple2.jpg

3.The screen, I was hopping for a design like example A, no borders,,, Although example B looks good :)

4.The GUI, once again, just like an ipod touch,,, cant wait until the iPad’s Winterboard comes out ;-)

5. Specs, 1ghz cpu, i guess 64GB is good, but i want more :-D , no info on memory..

PRO

1. Great for Books.

2. Great for portable Movies, Pics, Apps(games), etc

3. Wifi Support, (And) 3G support

4. Great accessories, (usb support, SD card, dock)

5. 10 Hours of Battery Life (probably on low screen brightness I don’t know, i shouldn’t judge) :)

I am an Apple fanatic, but i guess they have set the bar too high…

I wish for a MacBook Pro with a Rotatable Multi-touch Screen, its good to dream.
(ps: have it work with a pen to draw some stuff)
I was really hopping to buy this, Have u seen Microsoft’s Courier? Ill have to think this real well :)

Apple Special Event, April 2010 Part 2

Apple Special Event, April 2010 Part 2

I really want a Mac (because it appears gorgeous) and my experience with Safari and iPod Touch totally blew me away.I already researched on my own for a bit (4 hours) and I need help please.

1. Would the magic mouse work for tablet drawing on photoshop or other paint programs? If not, is the Wacom Bamboo CTH-460 compatible?

2. Is the Mac (of 2010) compatible for gaming? I’ve heard that it wasn’t but the reviews date back to 2007 and I was wondering if it was fixed now in 2010.

3. Which is better: bootcamp or crossover?

4. How does bootcamp and crossover work exactly?

5. If I use bootcamp/crossover, does this work with all/most games? (Focusing on Audition, Sims, Combat Arms, other popular games…)

6. Do you have to use Apple Anti-Virus Protection or can you use other softwares like Norton 360?

7. Is Microsoft Student compatible with the Mac? (It still works for 2 more PCs.)

8. Should I get a 8 GB RAM with 500 GB or the 1 TB? (It’s a bit pricey…but I do get $100 off for the TB compared to $50 off of the GB.)

—— Not Mac Question:

NMQ1. Can I get free Wi Fi if I had AT&T Internet service? And how? (I’ve read that they offer that…)

Are You Buying The New Apple Ipad?

I am not, I love Apple products, however the Ipad has no flash support, no USB port, doesn’t allow me to watch Netflix or Hulu videos from their website. I am not impressed, but I love the Ipod, Touch, and Iphone.

Ho much is an apple tablet?

Is there an apple tablet lap top? Cause i cant find them on their website. And how much do they cost Im looking and looking and it doesnt say

Visit apple-iphone-accessories.com for more information about new Apple iPad that has been Unveiled on 27 January, 2010 Apple hates netbooks because netbooks cannibalize notebooks. But the company would love to sell another Apple device into homes. The iPad doesn’t replace anything Apple currently sells. You type on your laptop at your desk. You surf with your iPhone while on the go. But you’d relax with an iPad on the couch, prop it up by your bed, or rest it on the airplane tray table. That’s all stuff you do with existing devices, of course, but an iPad would make it more natural, just as a Kindle does. The Kindle’s success doesn’t come from its brilliant hardware. Yes, the new Kindles are much prettier and slimmer than the original Kindle, but they’re compelling because of their 3G networking and their tight integration with Amazon’s store. Apple has that integration, too, via the iPhone Kindle app, and it has a much deeper legacy of building multipurpose hardware than Amazon does. The Kindle DX seems to have three primary markets textbooks, newspapers, and magazines. Other companies, including Hearst and News Corp., are said to be going into the media pad space to save their magazine subscription dollars. They’re doomed. In exchange for your monthly contract, the iPad will give you the whole Internet, and 35000 iPod touch applications, including—get this!—the Amazon Kindle application. Amazon won’t stress out about this too much. It will still be selling e-books, and

iTunes 9, iPod touch 3G, iPod shuffle 3G, iPod nano 5G, iPod classic 160GB, iPhone OS 3.1

Why the hell do i need an ipad?

I have a Sony Vaio P (I purchased for $700US) with a 1600 by 768 pixel screen, 2GB ram,1.86ghz (intel z540 chip), 128GB SSD (Sony OEM not runcore -_-) & ipod nano (2008 model) and a blackberry bold (9000)
I love the crisp pictures my Sony P provides, the res is worse on the ipad specs
I don’t care if the screen is slightly larger, My laptop is smaller, weighs lighter and fits the purpose of space efficiency and portability. It has a spaced out keyboard and the beta version of MS Office 2010 on it. Apple’s ‘killer app store’ provokes a loud yawn and sure it has 1-5% (some) practical value, most of the apps are novelty crap and the only one to defend it’s necessity to the death seem to be apple fanboys or dullards whose last major electronic purchase was the NES in the late ’80s… I am sick of the plants on radio who promote this crap, the reviewers who seem to be on Jobs’ payroll and others who think this is an ‘economical solution’ at US $500+, it makes me sick… especially when I think about the elderly who’ve never heard of a tablet PC and get suckered into purchasing this device because of the large colourful screen and reading utilities make it easier to access their books and newspapers. Sure that alone is worth 500 smackers plus your credit details, data payments and download charges for the material. So far no apps have been created to make it a worthwhile purchase at any price ($1 even) I wouldn’t waste any of my wi-fi, money or time on it, unless I was paid a princely sum.

What should the new Apple tablet be called?

iPad?
